A note from Dr. Scarpone

I’m Dr. Scarpone and my goal is to help you have a better life with less pain. I’m working to make musculoskeletal procedures less invasive and more effective, with less recovery time.

I have always been an advocate for accuracy and integrity in science and medicine and over the past 30 years, I have worked hard to provide the best information and treatment options to my patients across the Tri-State area. My specialty is musculoskeletal diagnostics, meaning, if you have an issue with your bones, joints, or muscles, Scarpone Sports Regenerative wants to help!

Experience

Dr. Scarpone has been serving the Tri-State area for over 30 years in roles such as medical staff member for the Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Club and Associate Professor at Drexel University with Allegheny Health Network.

As Director of Sports Medicine with Trinity Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, he has created lasting relationships between Ohio Valley high schools, colleges, and arena football leagues with athletic trainers, physical therapy teams, and the local hospital network.

He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology with a Medical Degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was Chief Resident in his Family Medicine Residency at The Medical Center in Beaver, PA with a subsequent Sports Medicine Fellowship at Marshall University School of Medicine.

Personal Life

Dr. Scarpone has been married for over 30 years to his sweetheart and RN, Dina. They raised and homeschooled 3 children in the Ohio Valley. Now, as empty nesters, Michael and Dina run Scarpone Sports Regenerative together. In their spare time, they enjoy riding bikes, exploring their city, and spending time with their children (and new granddaughter) who are spread across Ohio and Tennessee.

Community Involvement

We love staying involved with our community in the Ohio Valley and Pittsburgh area. Right now, Dr. Scarpone serves as Team Physician for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Franciscan University of Steubenville, and 7 area high schools.
